Yerba Mate Essential Kit - Grabado

This limited release kit includes Daniel’s Mate Grabado, a handcrafted Palo Santo mate engraved exclusively for maa·tay.

Inside sits sustainably sourced Palo Santo from Argentina’s Chaco region, prized for its warm aroma, natural character, and deep connection to the mate ritual. Outside, each vessel is shaped, finished, and engraved by hand in Buenos Aires, turning every piece into a small work of craft.

Daniel has been making mates by hand for over 36 years, carrying forward a tradition shaped by patience, repetition, and respect for the ritual. Each Mate Grabado is individually finished in his workshop, with subtle variations in the wood, form, and engraving that make every piece one of one.

Created as our first limited release, the Mate Grabado is designed for those who want something more personal: a vessel that carries the story of the maker, the origin of the wood, and the ritual it was made to serve.

Paired with an alpaca bombilla, or filtered straw, and 250g of our Pure Leaf yerba mate, this set gives you everything you need for a lasting ritual: aromatic wood, clean extraction, and a bright, approachable leaf to return to again and again.
