With 34 years of quiet craft to his name, Daniel works with sustainably sourced Palo Santo from Argentina’s Chaco region, shaping each piece from dense, aromatic wood and finishing it entirely by hand. Its elevated profile allows for longer cycles and a slower, more expressive evolution of flavor.
The base is wrapped in aluminum for durability and stamped with the maa·tay mark — a subtle detail that grounds the piece in its origin. Ideal for drinkers who enjoy extended sessions and a deeper, unfolding sip.
